Two backgrounds, one perspective
Reichenbach Consulting was established in 2020 as a joint project of German TZ Consulting GmbH & Co. KG and Jiří Šebela. TZ Consulting has operated across Europe for more than 25 years and specialises in IT due diligence, software intellectual property and licensing. This background brings methodological experience across many technology environments and the ability to compare local findings with broader European practice.
Jiří Šebela has spent more than twenty years across technology, company leadership, software development and investment. As CTO and Group CTO, he led technology teams in several countries and later worked on transformation, interim and M&A assignments in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Combining these backgrounds helps us understand both sides of the table. We know how an investor makes decisions under time pressure, and we understand the reality of the teams that must implement the recommended changes after the deal.
Technology in its business context
We never assess technical quality in isolation. We consider its impact on growth, cost, speed of change, operational risk and the company’s ability to deliver its plan. We give architecture, infrastructure and source code the same attention as people, process and the link between technology and business.
We therefore do not treat technical debt as a problem by default. We distinguish a deliberate compromise appropriate to the company’s stage from a constraint that limits growth, increases operating risk or materially changes the investment plan. We apply the same thinking to team design, vendor relationships and security.
From findings to achievable change
Our work can end with an independent due diligence report, but it can also continue after closing. We help translate findings into a high-level integration plan, first-100-day priorities, a target operating model and decisions across applications, data, infrastructure, security and technology leadership.
During the post-merger phase, we can act as an experienced challenger for management, the board or the integration team. We maintain the connection between the original investment thesis and actual progress, help balance rapid stabilisation with long-term transformation and identify dependencies that could put expected synergies at risk.

We have worked with transactions and technology environments in the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland and other European markets. Our work remains direct and personal, with clear judgement and outputs designed for real decisions — not merely for the data-room archive.
